CODICOTE TEST IN AUBREY CUP OPENER!

With pre-season training beginning on Tuesday evening, the build-up to the new season begins in earnest. The Aubrey Cup draw was made this week and it wasn't too kind to Town as they face a tricky trip to fellow Premier Division side Codicote.

The ambitious villagers, who recently announced a groundshare with Hitchin Town which will enable them to compete in this season's FA Vase, will prove "a tough nut to crack" for Town as they embark on their debut campaign in the Herts Senior County League's top flight.

A home tie await the victors, with either Bedmond Sports & Social Club or new boys Hitchin Town Arena the opponents in Round Three.

Due to their being 33 clubs in this season's Herts Senior County League, there will be one First Round tie, with new Division One sides Kimpton Rovers and Letchworth Garden City Eagles battling it out for the right to meet Buntingford Town in Round Two.

Holders Park Street Village start their defence of the Aubrey Cup, with a seemingly straightforward home tie with Cuffley.

Last season's finalists Bovingdon host North Mymms, whilst Premier Division favourites Metropolitan Police Bushey have an all Premier Division tie with Sandridge Rovers.

Mill End Sports and Lemsford, who were promoted with us from Division One last term, host Harpenden Rovers and London Lions respectively.

The full draw will being available on the website soon, but until then you can check it out on the league site @ www.hsc.leaguemanager.biz.
