The 1^st Team made it two wins from three pre-season outings as they ran out comfortable 6-0 winners at Herts Senior County League Division One side Allenburys Sports on Tuesday evening.

With Manager Steve King on holiday, Club Captain Scott Grant took the reigns for the evening and despite having a few players drop out in the days leading up to the game, Grant’s men were still too strong for their opponents.

Craig Skelton made it four goals in two pre-season games with a hat-trick.  There was a brace for Jack Gregson and also a goal for new signing Neil Smith.

The only sour note of the evening was an injury to Jack Gregson, who went off to hospital after a poor challenge from a home player left him with suspected damage to his ankle.

Manager Steve King will be hoping the injury is not too serious with the new season kick off now under three weeks away.

Next up for the 1^st Team is a trip to Roker Park to play United Counties League Stotfold next Tuesday evening (7.45pm ko).
