Lived in Baldock, as a child, in the 1950's before coming to Australia.
Like to wish you all the best for the coming season. I'll pop back now and then to follow you progress
regards
Mel. Brice

Great result in putting Hertford Heath away after a difficult match on Saurday.
Top of the table at last.
It was a difficult game to watch - especially from Bangalore.

COngratulations to James Graham for taking over the matchday programme responsibilities. It was a great 1st attempt, especially as there were not only numerous false dawns with the cancelled matches, but we had printer and ink problems galore as well. James has put in a lot of effort into the programme with various new features and articles and I'm sure we'll all benefit from a programme that gets better and better with every attempt.

Extract taken from the London Lions website after suffering 3-1 home defeat by the Town: "After the Jekyll & Hyde performance Lions manager Tony Gold said “You have to watch Baldock; they have pace out wide and up front and will cause you problems if you are not physically and mentally strong. First -half we proved more than capable second-half was the complete reverse and to be frank I am finding it impossible to explain why. We have spoken about it and we will address it, we have to address it"

Just beaten by the better side!!

PS; thanks to all the support that turned up at Clarence Park - I know it is appreciated by all the players and the committee.

My dad used to sit me on the crossbar of his bike when I was 3 (in 1949)and cycle up the hill from Baldock to watch Letchworth Town. I stayed loyal until the age of 18 when I moved to London. Players like Ron Jones, Ginger Norris, Frank garside etc stick in the mind. Congtatulations to everyone who has resurrected the club. Funny name though...........and where are the Qpr like blue and white hoops? I still have hundreds of programmes from the the '50's.
